Artist Statement:

In the patterns of the cracks in the streets; a woman up against a concrete wall; or, the invisible people in DC; Art is everywhere (you want it to be).

I am moved by the images that are all around us.

I began "taking pictures" in 1990, and immediately found a connection to it and an outlet through it. I studied photography at Clark University, the Corcoran School of Art, the Smithsonian and the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop, where my studies continue.

Genres I shoot include portraiture, fashion, still life and theatrical headshots.

I also provide my photographs to local charity auctions, and my gratitude goes out to those patrons of the arts, who have chosen to display my photographs in their homes and in their offices.

My artistic influences include photographers Ellen von Unwerth and Robert Frank, and performance artist Laurie Anderson.
